Candidates form Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering & Mining Engineering can apply for SAIL Jobs.

SAIL Careers: Candidates can apply for SAIL jobs using online portal only. Maximum age limit for apply is 28 years. Candidate should have valid degree in relevant field with the minimum of 65%. Application fee is 700 rupees for UR/OBC candidates & 100 rupees for SC/ST/PWD/EWS candidates.

How to Apply for SAIL Careers:

Interested & Eligible candidates would be required to apply online mode only through Careers page on SAIL’s official website i.e.: www.sail.co.in.

Candidates should possess the following before registering their applications on the SAIL’s website:

  1. Valid e-mail ID and mobile number, which should remain valid for atleast one year.
  2. GATE 2019 Registration Number
  3. Candidates should have latest passport-size photograph (jpg or jpeg file only upto 50 Kb) as well as photograph of signatures in digital format (jpg or jpeg file only upto20 kb) for uploading with the online Application Form.

The registration process involves following three Steps:

Step 1 : Filling up of Application

  1. Go to SAlL careers page at sail.co.in or www.sailcareers.com
  2. Read the official advertisement carefully to be sure about your eligibility
  3. If eligible, Click on the link Apply

Step 2: Making Payment

  1. Click on Make payment which will take you to SB Collect page of State Bank of India.
  2. Fill the Category, Registration No., Name, Father’s name, Date of Birth, Registered Email Id and Mobile no. details on the Payment portal. Ensure that the Mobile No & Email Id is same. details are used during the whole registration process.
  1. After that on Next Screen All details of the candidate are displayed. Make sure that all the details filled by the candidate are filled properly while making payment of application fee.
  2. Submit the Payment through Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card option or select the option to pay through any State Bank Group Branches with a print out of Payment Challan.
  3. Candidate will have to bear the bank charges, in addition to the applicable application fee / processing charge.
  4. In case of payment through challan, Application fees will be accepted only during banking hours upto the closing date of submission of online application. The SBI branches will accept the fee from 10.00 AM of the starting date to 04.00 PM (01.00 PM if it is Saturday) of the closing date of submission of online application.
  5. On successful payment the candidate shall be prompted to print the e-receipt. However, in case of ‘challan’, there will be an option to print challan. Note down the SB Collect Reference no. same thing would be required during the Step 3 i.e. “Final registration” stage of the Registration process.

Step 3: Final Registration & Printing of Provisional Registration Slip

  1. When payment is made, collect reference no. of State Bank & date of payment is required to be entered in the SAIL online application form on Careers website by the candidate to generate the provisional Registration Slip.
  2. This is an important thing for candidates that they should retain a photocopy of their e-receipt & Registration Slip.

Selection Process for SAIL Careers:

SAIL will be recruiting Management Trainees (Technical) in the six engineering disciplines as mentioned above by utilisation of GATE-2019 scores. For this, SAIL will be utilising the scores obtained in the six GATE-2019 Engineering papers i.e. Metallurgical (MT), Mechanical (ME), Electrical (EE), Instrumentation (IN)  Chemical CH) and Mining (MN). Candidates who apply for SAIL, will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the relevant GATE-2019 examination paper and as per the Company’s requirement. Shortlisted candidates would be intimated through Careers Page website of SAIL to appear for Group Discussion and Interview. Criteria for marks for the candidates would be in the ratio of 75:10:15 for Written test (GATE-2019), Group Discussion and interview, in that order.
